Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association’s 2018 Crane & Rigging Workshop Round-up
Fleet Cost & Care team members recently attended the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association’s Crane & Rigging Workshop in Louisville, KY. The 3 day conference was full of networking events, educational sessions, a star-studded product fair and a trip to a Link-Belt Crane factory in Lexington, KY.
Fleet Cost & Care team members attended many educational sessions relevant to the crane and rigging and fleet management industries, like how best to protect your company from lawsuits and ways to improve compliance at job sites.
The highlight of the conference was the Exhibit Center where we had a special guest: IndyCar driver Graham Rahal! Fleet Cost & Care is in the 3rd year of sponsoring Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing and Graham Rahal. Graham hung out at our booth, signed autographs, chatted with fans and giveaway a pair of tickets to a 2019 IndyCar race. He also tried to field some fleet management questions, but we had plenty of FCC industry experts on hand to help!

The conference included a tour of the 770,000 sq. ft. Link-Belt plant in Lexington, KY. Link-Belt has a top-notch operation run by skilled and friendly people. We were able to see how one of their cranes is assembled from start to finish.
SC&RA members were also treated to a demonstration of the entire Link-Belt fleet including their new 175 ton all-terrain crane.
It was a great event! We were happy to see so many customers and meet new people in the crane & rigging industry. We are already looking forward to the SC&RA’s Annual Conference next year!
