Making Waves Down Under at the Crane Industry Council of Australia’s National Conference
In a significant milestone for Fleet Cost & Care (FCC), the US-based fleet management solutions provider made its inaugural appearance at the Crane Industry Council of Australia (CICA)’s National Conference in Perth this past October. The event marked a strategic move for the company as it seeks to expand its reach and engage with industry leaders in the Australian crane market. The trip proved to be a success with many highlights and key takeaways from spending time with the people at the forefront of the nation’s crane industry.
A Journey Several Years in the Making:
FCC’s presence at the CICA conference was long overdue. Not new to the region, FCC has proudly serviced customers in nearby New Zealand since 2012 and Australia since 2019. Joining the association in 2020 and keen to spread their innovative fleet solutions into new markets, the ensuing pandemic put a pause on everyone’s travel.
2023 was different, with several new Australian customers coming onboard in the intervening years and travel returning to normal, FCC was eager to attend Australia’s premier crane & rigging event. The goals were simple: to cultivate relationships, seek understanding, to demonstrate innovative solutions and fleet management expertise, to shed light on the latest industry trends and technology integrations, and to position the company as a thought leader and partner to crane & rigging companies throughout Australia.
Networking Opportunities:
One of the primary objectives for FCC at the CICA conference was to foster relationships with key players in the Australian crane industry. “The event provided a platform for us to engage in meaningful conversations, exchange insights, and explore potential business opportunities.” said Fleet Cost & Care VP of Sales, Eric Stoller. “In this industry there is no substitute for talking with people face-to-face. As a company we are here to help, that often begins with a handshake and friendly conversation. The networking sessions were instrumental in creating awareness about Fleet Cost & Care’s capabilities and understanding the specific needs of the Australian market.”
Industry Insights:
Attending the CICA conference provided FCC with valuable observations into the challenges and opportunities within the Australian crane industry. “The exchange of ideas and discussions with industry experts allows us to gain a deeper understanding of some of the requirements and needs unique to crane companies in the region.” said Angie Hookham, Director of Implementations. “This knowledge helps our development, training, and implementations teams to support our existing customers better and win over new ones as we tailor features to the Australian market.”
Looking Ahead:
Fleet Cost & Care’s debut at the CICA conference in Perth was a success. The engagement with industry leaders, participation in educational sessions, and the valuable insights gained have set the stage for future growth and collaboration in the Australian market. As Fleet Cost & Care continues to expand its global footprint, the experience at the CICA conference marks a pivotal moment in the company’s journey to becoming a trusted technology partner for crane companies around the world.
