Fleet Owners and Their Teams Descend on Nashville for Technology Conference: Interface ‘19
In October, more than 125 people assembled in Nashville for Interface ’19 – Fleet Cost & Care’s first user technology conference.
Interface ‘19 was designed to:
- Connect fleet owners and their teams with the right technology partners and peers to improve adoption of technology in fleet management
- Educate Fleet Cost & Care end users on best practices as well as provide user training
- Cultivate ideas for making progress with technology in the fleet management industry.
Connect. Educate. Cultivate.
Interface ’19 attendees represented 46 different companies spread across three continents. The attendees came from companies in the crane, rigging, vacuum truck, commercial diving, and marine construction industries as well as from equipment manufacturers, telematics, insurance, and business intelligence providers.
Interface ’19 was full of engaging content, interactive sessions, great networking and of course some fun in Music City!
Fleet Cost & Care founder and President Jeff Curran took to the Interface stage to begin the conference, surrounded by an eager crowd of customers, partners, and employees.
Curran thanked customers old and new for their support in Fleet Cost & Care and its software solutions while also alluding to what is to come. “Technology is everywhere and like every other industry – we can use it not only to survive, but to thrive. A big goal for us is to take your investment and trust in us and work to continue to make things easier and more efficient” Curran said.
Although, the education portion of Interface was right around the corner, first Curran brought Fleet Cost & Care sponsored IndyCar driver Graham Rahal to the stage for a quick conversation of how technology enables him to drive, thrive and stay safe on the track.
Interface ’19 sponsor TNT Crane & Rigging’s Director of Business Operations, Shara Perez kicked off the general session with a stirring presentation about managing change and technology adoption. Shara led the successful implementation of Fleet Cost & Care software at TNT, one of the largest crane service providers in North America with 38 branches and over 600 cranes. Regarding TNT’s approach to Fleet Cost & Care software implementation Shara stressed, “this was not an IT driven project; this was a team driven project because this system touches every single function lane of the organization.”
Presenting sponsor Rouse Analytics’ Managing Director Phil Mause introduced the audience to their company’s benchmarking solutions for the rental industry. This service uses actual rental invoices and daily fleet snapshots to provide clients with comparison rental rates, utilization, and other key performance metrics. Information provide by Rouse Analytics can be crucial to making better business decisions and staying ahead of your regional competitors.
Breakout sessions in the afternoon focused on two main areas of the program Sales and Dispatch as well as Accounting and Billing. These sessions were interactive and featured workflow training, customer advocate speakers, and audience participation.
Vice President of Sims Crane & Equipment Co., Erika Sims discusses how they found success using Fleet Cost & Care’s Atom mobile app.
Managing Director of Wilkerson Crane Rental, Inc., Robert Hall on stage at Interface ‘19.
The Fleet Cost & Care product development team took to the stage to discuss the development roadmap for the next year as well as discuss changes to how we support our customers and our product. Nashville is Music City. The Interface group got treated to a night out to experience the tunes of Lower Broadway and its Honky Tonks by NBIS and USI Insurance Services.
Interface ’19 was a huge success and it would not have been possible without our sponsors: Rouse Analytics, TNT Crane & Rigging, Crane Network, NBIS, USI, Walter Payton Power Equipment, Manitowoc, and Acronis.
We are extremely grateful to our customer advocates who took the time to present their experience with Fleet Cost & Care solutions to our attendees: Shara Perez – TNT Crane & Rigging, Erika Sims – Sims Crane & Equipment Co., and Robert Hall – Wilkerson Crane Rental, Inc.
Thank you to all our attendees who stepped away from their daily tasks, traveled near and far, and made Interface ’19 a successful user conference of talented and dynamic individuals.
Finally, thank you to the hardworking, nimble, and dedicated Fleet Cost & Care team that put together engaging content for our attendees, provided one-on-one support, and executed a fun and meaningful event.
